How does Santa Helena specialty coffee grows:
Santa Helena’s coffee grows on the Southern Mountains of the State of Minas Gerais in Brazil, at an altitude of 1200 meters. That’s why the coffee has a special flavour.
The coffee grows naturally within the shade of lush forests , providing a home for wild animals and plants, sustaining soil fertility and an alive ecosystem.
The coffee lies on the large farm terrace, where it dries by the sun, exactly as in 1830 when the first coffee plantation began. Therefore, the coffee does not go through any chemical or mechanical process. That is to say, it is done manually, from planting to harvest, and drying. After that the coffee goes to the cooperative where they remove the coffee from the bark and put into jute bags.
It is Organic certified by AAO (Association of Organic Agriculture), International Organic Certification USDA, Fairtrade and BIO INSPECTA in Switzerland.
